As President and Founder of Frontier XR Training, Joe utilizes his prior career experiences coupled with leading edge technology to create engaging and effective training solutions. We are a proudly Canadian company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and all of our customized simulators (Figure 1) are manufactured here in the province by Cypress Industries.
As the owner of Frontier Driving Academy for nine years, he has taught clients from all backgrounds and driving abilities while also working with corporate clients like CP Rail, Manitoba Hydro and GE Canada to create and implement defensive driver training programs. His seven years in the classroom as an instructor in the MPI High School Driver Education program, combined with his in-car experience, was the genesis for the VR Driving School (Figure 2).
With the VR Driving School, Frontier was the first in the world to develop a driving curriculum based completely in virtual reality with customized software and simulators. In the summer of 2008, we were selected by Samsung to implement a VR Drving Exhibition for their #driveforchange initiative for female drivers in Saudi Arabia. Since then, we have evolved into a world leader in providing driver and safety training for multinational organizations, such as PepsiCo. Frito-Lay currently has twelve of our driving simulators and Ergo-on-the-Job stations in the Northeast US. Additionally, we are expanding our footprint into the Mid-America region in the summer of 2020.
Today, Frontier offers a suite of products, including XR Ergonomics (Figure 4), to train and educate employees, clients and students. Our team of developers and consultants are second to none and we look forward to the opportunity to provide complete training with technology solutions that can fit your budget and make you an industry leader.
